Summary | 0020080: Some M4A files are not playable in MMA
Description | Some M4A files are not playable in MMA, but playable in MM5, AIMP and others on PC Test note clearing TAGs do not fix the problem initially, but I noticed that If I Edit tags after clearing eg. Add Album as "Unknown Album" and save tags then MMA also play the file.

This track won't play using any android player that relies on Android codecs. It's an example of the limitations of the included codecs that will be resolved by #20060 |
|
I've uploaded an m4a (alac) file by Matthew Sweet that fails to play in MMA 1268, but whereas previously it would fail and skip with a missing codec error, now it plays silently! |

Fixed in build 2.1.0.1269 |

Tested 1269. The issue of silent playback has been fixed, however, the original issue of the John Brim m4a track not playing hasn't been resolved. Re-opening for future resolution. |

This seems to be fixed in 1272. |
