| Description | Currently we have proxy configuration connected with Freedb configuration. However, we use it for other purposes as well (mainly mp3 and ogg streaming) and so we should think about making it independent of Freedb configuration sheet. Suggested implementation: 1) Change Freedb --> Network (Proxy & Freedb) 2) Move Network (Proxy & Freedb) sub to General 3) Within the tab, move the Proxy Configuration above Freedb 4) Within the Proxy section of the tab, move '[ ] Use Proxy Server' from outside the Proxy Server Settings box to inside the box. 5) Create a box around all of the Freedb configuration settings and call it 'Freedb Settings' 6) Change the context-help entry for http/cddbp as follows: Freedb connections usually use the CDDBP protocol, although you may want to use HTTP if you are having firewall related problems. If you use HTTP, you can also configure the connection via a proxy server-if you don't know the Proxy Server settings, check with your Administrator. --> Freedb connections usually use the CDDBP protocol, although you may want to use HTTP if you are having firewall related problems. 7) Add a new context entry for the Proxy Server: If your network uses a proxy server, you'll need to configure these settings to enable Freedb HTTP connections and MP3 / OGG streaming. Two more things seems to be needed: 8) Move content of Protocol box to Freedb settings box (because it's related to Freedb only). 9) 'Proxy server settings' should be enabled regardless of chosen protocol (currently is enabled only for HTTP). Assigning to Rusty for review of the UI. |

Tested in build 895, however, the proxy functionality isn't enabled, so I can't test much. Also, the 'Protocol' settings should be inside the Freedb settings. Re-opening. |
