| Description | MM5 (5.0.3.2603) contextual filtering gives inaccurate and inconsistent results. I did repetitive operations with the same simple search string. I got inconsistent results. See below for a debug dump and also video of this happening. Reported within Support Ticket 3505 (last couple of posts in that ticket: From the Ticket: * you show 14 albums with contextual filter of john col, when Column Browser is off ... all are expected, ie John Coltrane name is in album or albumartist tags * but you show 192 albums with Column Browser visible, but inactive (seems to become All Fields filter when Column Browser is visible ??? ... is this expected?) * but repeated filtering using the the same filter string gives 35 albums, and then 119 albums using the same filter ... ie. is unreliable and therefore useless | ||||

This issue persists in 2027.0.0.3521! Something is off with album filtering as the search results differ depending on whether the column filter is active or not. It's trivial to replicate: 1 Navigate to Music > Albums [grid (by album)] 2 Type 'beat' --> 49 albums found 3 Enable column filter 4 Type 'beat' --> 102 albums found!! |
