Summary | 0001870: iPod playlists fail to update when tracks already exist on the device
Description | This one is a bit hard to describe so I'll give the usecase: User synchs Playlist A and Playlist B to iPod. A contains songs W & X, and B contains songs Y & Z. User then modifies Playlist A in MediaMonkey to contain W, Y & Y. User resynchs iPod. --> Song Y isn't added to Playlist A It seems that the Playlist is correctly synched if a _new_track_that_isn't_elsewhere_on_the_device is added to the playlist. If tracks that exist elsewhere are added then the playlist, then the playlist doesn't update. Note: I didn't find a similar problem with deletion, but it wouldn't surprise me if there is a problem that I failed to find.

I think I tried everything as described and also some other options and don't see any problem. Are the steps exactly like this, or is anything else necessary? |

After further study, it's become apparent that this issue is cause by the fact that multiple masks were used to synch data to the device. Re-assigning to rusty as 'urgent' to study further. |
