| Summary | 0018464: Allow lyric sources to be updated independently of MM5 | ||||
| Description | Currently, Lyric Sources is a separate addon in MM5, however: 1) We don't update it when we want to add a new source (it's not even clear to me that this would work atm). I would propose that updates to such internal addons should be made available via /sw/mmw/5/addons (is that possible) 2) There should be a mechanism for disabling sources so that they stop appearing within MM as options (which cause lyric lookups to slow down) | ||||

1) Already works , see 0018389 i.e. no change is needed in MM5 it already requests https://www.mediamonkey.com/addons/update.php?id=lyricsSources durning "find updates" and if a new version is there it downloads and install "Lyrics Sources" to the user folder ( 0018389 ) and user script versions are preferred over the bundled. 2) Individual Lyrics Sources can be disabled in Options > Metadata Lookup |

I think that this works OK for now. I retested with 3040 where I deliberately blocked some sources and MM continued to function normally. |
