Summary0018159: Scan results dialog isn't show when dragging files into the Library
DescriptionWhen dragging files (1 or multiple) onto a Collection node to add the files to the Library the Scan results dialog isn't show. It is shown if you drag folders (1 or multiple) onto a Collection node.

This is slightly inconsistent and the Scan result dialog should be shown in all scenarios.
Steps To Reproduce1 Select a file in File Explorer that's not in the Library
2 Drag & Drop onto Music
--> No Scan results dialog shown

Personally for single track and multiple tracks without folders in selection I would leave it as is.

I completely agree with LL locic from https://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=484667#p484667 and do not see it as bug, maybe having link to results?

Actually if I get Results Dialog it would just annoy me.

As discussed offline, there is not a general agreement whether this is a bug or not.

Assigned to Rusty to review/decide.

The point of the scan results dialog is to provide the user with feedback re successfully imported files, but more importantly about errors (due to import criteria not being met, are failures). This is a requirement no matter how files are added to the library.

A possible difference between the cases is that when the user manually drags tracks (rather than folders), it _may_ be a smaller number of items and therefore a persistent dialog isn't required (a toast being more appropriate).

So my suggestion would be that regardless of how tracks are added/scanned:
- If it takes less than 10s or if the scan dialog has been disabled --> show the relevant info as a toast message
- if it takes more than 10s --> use the current persistent dialog or make the toast persistant

I don't think this is that urgent. Leaving to Ludek to triage / comment on this.
