I cannot reproduce with screensaver, for me any video playback blocks screensaver from starting (maybe driver related?)
But nearly the same freeze with the same errors in the log could be achieved by pressing Ctrl+Alt+Del and canceling windows security screen after several seconds. Problem is caused by the fact, video renderer loses device in such situation and restoring does not always work well. In case it will be problem, could be postponed to 5.1 I think.

Like Peke and dtsig, I can easily replicate this problem.
Tested with MM portable, using a laptop with intel graphics (2560x1080 resolution/Scale 100% output to external monitor:
1 Set power plan to 'balanced' and 'reset profile' to default settings
2 Set screen saver to Mystify (@ 1 minute)
3 Play video (U2 - Get on your boots [AVI-MPEG4]) in full screen
--> After 1 minute, audio continues playing but Screensaver kicks in. It shouldn't !
4 Interact with the PC
--> Screensaver turns off, and MediaMonkey continues playing, and displaying fullscreen, but the video is frozen!
5 Press stop
--> Playback stops and MM continues working normally. i.e. I never experience a crash
6 Play the same file using Windows 10 Movies & TV OR VLC Portable
--> Playback continues until the end of the video without the screensaver launching (this works whether the video is played within the app window or in full-screen mode)
So it seems to me that there is at least one issue that should be fixed for 5.0 and another that may be deferred:
1) MM5 video playback should prevent the screensaver from being launched for Full Window and Full Screen modes
2) The issue that Michal described "... video renderer loses device in such situation and restoring does not always work well" can be deferred since this is unlikely to occur (in this scenario at least) if 1) is fixed |

This issue have not happen last few versions Re checked in 2288 and user also confirmed fix.
