| Description | Tag Field lists are displayed in different orders in various locations of MM5. This makes for a somewhat disjointed experience. For example: - Configure view (sort order): #, Title, Artist, Album, Filename, Date, Length, Genre, Played, Last Played, Rating, Bitrate ... - Auto-Playlist (sort order): Random, Random Album, Title, Album, Artist, Album Artist, Genre, Date, Rating, Played #, Skipped #, Last Played, Added, Bitrate, BPM, Length, File length, Disc #, Track #, Media, .... - Configure view field chooser: alphabetical order - Filter criteria (choose criteria): Album, Album Artist, Artist, Bitrate, Channels, Date, Genre, Length, Path, Rating, Sample rate, Title, Track #, [Classification & Custom], [Others] ... - Auto-Playlist (choose criteria): Album/Series/Podcast, Album Artist, Artist/Director, Bitrate, Channels, Date, Genre, Length(s), Path, Rating, Sample rate, title, Track #, [Classification & Custom], [Others] ... - Tools > Options > Search (choose search fields): Artist, Album, Album Artist, Title, Genre, Path, Composer, Lyricist, Conductor, Grouping, Subtitle, Lyrics, Comment, CustomX, .... - Mask Configurator: Organized by Auto-number, Random, Track Folder, Directory, Splitter, [Audio], [Video], [Custom], [Properties], [Play History] It seems to me that the best organized field selector is in the Mask Configurator, and that in most cases it would make sense to use it as the basis for the field chooser. e.g. - Configure view (sort order): [list of displayed fields], [Audio], [Video], [Custom], [Properties], [Play History] - Auto-Playlist (sort order): Random, Random Album, [Audio], [Video], [Custom], [Properties], [Play History] - Configure view field chooser: change the UI slighly so that it works similarly to the auto-playlist criteria selector, and clicking '+' would show [Audio], [Video], [Custom], [Properties], [Play History] e.g. Columns: . . . . Title [-] [v] [^] . . . . Artist [-] [v] [^] . . . . Album [-] [v] [^] . . . .
