Summary0001618: Inserting a CD --> CD node doesn't appear
DescriptionIf the user inserts a CD, the CD node is buried within the My Computer node --> there's no way to directly access it (although clicking the 'rip' button may work, if only a single CD drive exists).

I would suggest that when a CD Drive contains a CD with CD Audio or other audio file types, a device icon should appear followed by the drive letter and the CDs name. These icons should appear immediately above the My Computer node, and can disappear upon the CDs removal in the same manner as a Portable Device.

As pointed out by Dale in 3402, there's now another reason for implementing this:

It should be made possible to have an audio cd's appear as a main node upond insert - like portable players do.

This is especially important seeing as it is now possible to hide the my computer node (issue 0000553).

Set to 'immediate' for triage/assignment.

Tested in 1069 and CDs that previously caused the node to appear don't seem to be doing so any longer!

Tested on XP, clean install. Could it be related to filtering fixes?

I can't reproduce ... this functionality works fine for me.

Retested this on build 1073 with a clean install. It's definitely not working on a clean install (tested on XP).

Can you verify on a clean install?
