| Summary | 0011561: 5.1 channel playback fails for AAC MP4 files | ||||
| Description | User reports that 5.1 channel playback fails for AAC encoded MP4 files when using the codec pack (but that it works without the codec pack, presumably via quicktime). | ||||

I've made some testing and I have different results. For me, 5.1 sound is related to the video file, not codec pack. Some MP4 files with stereo AAC sound play in 5.1, some not, I have no idea why. And it is the same in MM4 and in other players. Peke, please, could you make more research? Maybe you will find out more, I have no amplifier system. Thanks. |

Fixed by disabling FFDShow audio decoder in the user system. User had FFDShow installed with some setting, that forced using of two channels. |

Verified 103 by forcing FFDshow from K-lite codec pack to decode into stereo. |
