Summary0003292: double clicking blank area in now playing restarts song
Descriptionin the "now playing" window, double clicking any blank area under the tracks starts the currently playing song again.
Additional InformationIt's also worth noting that double clicking the actual song that's playing doesn't start it again - it does nothing. This isn't much of an issue, but combined with the fact that clicking "previous" doesn't go back to the start of the currently playing song, but instead goes straight back to the song before... this functionality is missed. (manual players usually require two previous clicks to go to the previous song because one click will take you back to the start of the current one)

I think it's worth allowing the user to double click the bold song and have it start from the start - Otherwise the user has to click stop (if there is stop on the skin) and then click play.

the second part of this (the additional information) seems to have been addressed - mark as resolved if appropriate, but I'm still not sure that double clicking the blank space and having it affect the playback is logical.

In 1194, double-clicking a playing track will restart it.

I'm resolving this because I don't quite understand what is meant by 'double clicking a blank area in NP'--i.e. I don't see any blank areas that trigger the described behaviour.

As described by Dale and confirmed by me:

steps to reproduce:
- start a song playing
- queue up a couple of songs after it... but only a couple
- switch to the "now playing" node
- you should have about 3 tracks int he tracklist and then a whole lot of empty space underneath.
   - double click in the empty space - the song will restart

- this also occurs in the now playing 'dockable window'
