Summary0013072: CD RIP: MMW incorrectly Show error dialogs
DescriptionWhen Volume leveling is enabled in RIP dialog MMW firstly RIP to WAV in Temp Folder -> Do Volume leveling on Lossless file -> Encodes to Destination.

Problem rises when MMW do not have Correct write access to Destination Path.

1. MMW shows Dialog for each file in TEMP folder that MMW can't access it wich incorrect as files are correctly created and accesible eg. They are playable until they are deleted from temp folder by MMW.

2. after user clicks OK for all MMW Shows Dialog with list of tracks not created correctly which is confusing adn implicate that it is bug in MMW, instead it should state that MMW can't create file on destination.

NOTE: To confirm access rights I tried to do Auto Organize on one of files from same path and MMW failed to Move them, but also all files are readable and playable.

LOG File is on FTP

Peke, I cannot reproduce.

I tried ripping a file to drive G:\ that is locked SD card (no write access).
In both cases (with and without volume leveling enabled) MMW reported error:
"File G:\... was not successfuly created"
which is expected.

Could you specify the exact steps to reproduce the issue?

There is no special settings or steps only difference is taht user used c:\Temp as temporary folder.

Steps are:
1. Insert Audio CD
2. RIP Dialog Shown imediately (but same is if I click on RIP icon on inserted CD)
3. Destination path is set to UNC or Mapped Drive letter
4. Rip Settings are as attached screenshot
5. Temp WAV files are correctly created along with ripping
6. Volume leveling is done on files
7. Before convert MMW throw error for each WAV (till number of audio tracks from CD) that it can't access it
8. After pressing OK for all tracks it shows "File ?????? was not successfully created" (as expected doe the no write access)

Dialogs in 7. are not needed and do not know why they show at all LOG files should show why especially as I tried to RIP same CD into c:\TEMP folder and it ripped without problems.

OK, so my understanding is that you also cannot reproduce it and at step 7 there is no error dialog for you, right?

From the user's log I saw this:
"Geen toegang tot C:\Temp\212F.wav. Toegang is geweigerd. Het bestand is in gebruik of er zijn onvoldoende rechten."

Which means that file C:\Temp\212F.wav is in use or there isn't enough rights to write.

It really seems that another app or something locked the files in the C:\Temp\ for the user for some reason.
So probably the error was right, just the reason is unknown (why the files were read only ATM)

I do not think so as after step 8 all wav files are deleted correctly.

Another strange thing is that it only happen if destination path is read only.
