Summary0003270: Header columns and Track Browser columns need refinement & consistency
DescriptionIn the track browser, if you right click on a header to change it to another field, “occasion” is spelled incorrectly.
It is spelled correctly if you do this in the main tracklist.

Also, the order that each of these menus use should be similar..

One example is the custom fields in the tracklists header menu. They are not listed consecutively.
TagsNo tags attached.
Fixed in build1283

This is definitely a bug both due to:
a) inconsistency
b) the fact that a second set of strings are being used unnecessarily
c) the fact that many of available options in the Track browser don't make sense

Changes:
1) The following default order would make sense (modified based on new form that is better suited for classical music):

Title
Artist
Composer
Album Artist
Album
Grouping (missing)
Conductor
Lyricist
Involved people
Date
Genre
Rating
Tempo
Mood
Occasion
Quality
BPM
Custom 1
Custom 2
Custom 3
Custom 4
Custom 5
Path
Folder (missing)
Filename
Length
Disk#
Track#
Track Volume
Album Volume
Bitrate
Filesize
Timestamp
Added
Played #
Last Played
Media
Sample Rate
Channels
Type
Original Artist
Original Album Title
Original Year
Comment
Lyrics

2) Missing Fields

The following fields are currently missing from the default list of fields (in addition to a couple of others listed above which are more critical). We could add these fields now, or do so at a later date.

Original Lyricist
ISRC
Publisher
Encoder
Copyright

3) We should modify the list of fields that appear in the track browser:

Artist
Composer
Album Artist
Album
Grouping
Conductor
Lyricist
Date (Year)
Genre
Rating
Tempo
Mood
Occasion
Quality
Custom 1
Custom 2
Custom 3
Custom 4
Custom 5
Folder
Played #
Media
Type
Original Artist
Original Year

4) It would probably make sense to modify the order of fields in both the Track Browser and Mask options to automatically match that which is set for the default view. That way we don't have to always worry about this consistency issue. We can defer this if necessary (though defering this means that we'll have to programmatically change the order of some fields in the masks).

It seems that 'Title' is missing as an option for Track Browser:
http://www.mediamonkey.com/support/staff/index.php?_m=tickets&_a=viewticket&ticketid=6695

Watching SVN history it seems that it was caused in revison 6544 from 26 Nov 2008 when Petr commited this issue (0003270), but I don't know why he doesn't track the change here in Mantis. Petr?

Ok, seems there are at least a few people who like to browse by 'Title', so we can add it back (first entry i.e. just before Artist).
