| Description | Currently, debug logs are over complicated to generate: a) User must install debugview b) User must install debug MM c) User must run debug version -- and often they accidentally run the normal version d) User must collect logs from various locations -- hpcde.log, wmlog, debug log A couple of suggestions that would make users more likely to send us debug builds: 1) Beta builds should always be debug builds (until the RC stage). That way users don't have to go through the extra step of installing a debug build. 2) When the user installs a debug build, a MediaMonkey_Debug entry should be added to the MediaMonkey programs group so that users can easily launch it (many times it happens that the user installs the debug version but then runs the regular version, not realizing what they've done) OR even better, the Debug version of MM should just overwrite the 'normal' version. 3) other ideas?? | ||||
