Summary | 0001735: Tags are being updated progress indicator is often missing when Auto-Tagging files
Description | I haven't been able to figure out what causes this behaviour, but I have noticed that whenever I'm auto-tagging files in which the file size changes (i.e. the track.mp3.xxxxx file is generated as described in another bug) the progress indicator does not appear. I can confirm this by auto-tagging an entire album and looking at at the Album Directory in explorer. Explorer shows Trackx.mp3.xxxxx being created for each track (taking ~15 seconds), but there is no status indicator in MediaMonkey!

I tried several ways to reproduce and it always worked fine in build 831. Let me know should you find anything else about this and also possibly a commented debug log in case you can easily reproduce it. |
|
The only way that I can consistently reproduce this is by testing over a network. In that environment, the bug occurs every time--one can observe the changes being made to the tracks by opening an Explorer window and seeing track.mp3.xxxxx being created for each file even though MediaMonkey indicates that nothing is happening! note: I'm quite certain that this also happens when testing on a local drive, however, my guess is that it's usually too fast to observe. |

Fixed in build 832. - I found a problem that could have caused problems in showing correct values in the status bar (using any of MM tagging functions). |
