This is not a bug in wifi sync. Playlists created in MMA are synced. All playlists are stored to internal storage. When you sync internal storage, they are uploaded.

Bug is in USB sync. MMW sync all playlists with all storages.

I would suggest that this _is_ a bug in the sense that most users that have a device with an external SD card will store their media on the external card, and will have no idea re. how to get playlists created on their devices to sync bi-directionally.

One solution would be:
-if 'choose library folders' only has a single location enabled, then use that location
-if 'choose library folders' has multiple locations enabled, then use the external location

Another possible solution would be to automatically create playlists to the same location as the majority of files contained in the playlist.

Yes, makes sense to me, this was also my today's objection.

- if all playlist tracks are from storage X, then playlist should be created on storage X

- if tracks are from multiple storages, then the situation is more complicated. I guess that both solutions suggested by Rusty could work although it complicates the things, because the playlists would have to be moved "on-the-fly" based on current playlist content and current sync settings

What was the reason to create all playlists on Internal storage only?
As short term solution, I would suggest to determine the location based on the first track added to the newly created playlist.

i.e. if the first added track is from storage X, create the M3U playlist on storage X

Ok, agreed, in more details:
 - When a new, empty, playlist is created, a more likely location is used (probably based on previous playlist, or a majority of tracks in the library).
 - When the first track is added to the playlist, the playlist is moved to the storage where this track is located.
 - Note that in case when tracks are sent to a new playlist, step 1 can be skipped and the playlist can be created in the correct location right away.
