Summary0010062: Sync: Auto-Playlist handling
DescriptionAs described in 0010049 MMW is responsible for Auto-Playlist handling.

There is one interesting case where user would like that on each sync playlist on device gets appended with tracks from new sync and existing tracks are not deleted.

Auto-Playlist ("Favorites top 20") would look like:
Status -> Is accessible
Rating => 4 Stars
Show at most -> 20 Files (and enable it)
Sort Order -> Random Z..A

Result would be that on each sync user would get additional 20 New tracks on phone.

Maybe another approach would be to Append Date/time of sync as Playlist name Suffix for each Auto playlist so that User could have all playlists saved eg. Append Sync Date/Time to Auto-Playlist on Sync [x] where unchecked would be default (current behavior to overwrite existing) and if checked will append either date/time or add number (2,3,5,...) as playlist name suffix.

Peke, isn't the handled by disabling Delete settings on MMA? This way new files would be synced and the old ones not deleted.

Yes, old tracks are preserved, but No, Playlist Gets overwritten with one from last/current sync.

I Would and I guess most users that users would prefer behavior similar to MMW "Create playlist for Tracks newly added to Library"

Eg. For example I would like to have new playlist each week with 20 5 star rated tracks I have not listened in 3 months (Bi-Di sync of Playcounts from my device) so that I can listen them in Car while driving.
