Note: I changed 0005792 to 'related' rather than a dup. The decision we need to make is whether to fix the problem (that the track browser doesn't work in NP), OR just (?temporarily) fix the problem with the fact that the button is unnecessarily enabled.

I suggest it is far better fix this by changing the command effect rather than the availability.

Reasons "for" are consistency with other Track List sources esp. Playlists (these do show the TB), and usefulness e.g. showing a summary of Genres, Albums etc. when composing a list

A stated reason against is "Enabling the Track Browser on the Now Playing node would filter it, which then defeats the main purpose of the node, which is the show the order in which tracks will play, given Shuffle is not on."

Supposing the Track Browser was enabled, and while the list was playing, the user filtered the list to only show 'Rock' tracks. Should only the filtered tracks play? Or should tracks play even though they don't appear in the list?

Neither sounds really good to me. The second option sounds a little better, but I think that the only consistent solution is simply to not enable Track Browser in the NP node.

That's not a fix to the bug I reported. It is a WONTFIX. Please correct accordingly.

That's false too. Please change to WONTFIX.

Actually, 'no change required' might make more sense here since the discussion seemed to conclude that the reported defect/proposed solution are not really a bug/appropriate fix because of the complications they would introduce. (wontfix implies that the bug was clearly an issue, but that for whatever reason, the dev team doesn't want to fix it).

Side note: the logic for rejecting this bug should probably also apply to changes to play order (0005165).
