Summary | 0002623: Track Selection via Spacebar doesn't work
Description | I'm not sure if this is a regression or not, but a blind user wrote complaining that in the latest build, there's a selection problem that prevents him from selection multiple tracks using <ctrl> and <spacebar>. In explorer, this works as follows: -Use arrow keys to navigate to a file --> the file is selected -Press <ctrl> to allow other files to be selected -Use arrow keys to navigate to other files and press <spacebar> to select/deselect them In MM 2.5.4.975, as soon as the user presses <ctrl>, the arrow keys are disabled and the user can't navigate with the keyboard to other files. Note: keyboard selection using the <shift> key works well.

I have tried MM versions back to 2.3.1 and they all act consistently in this, Ctrl has always worked this way. Therefore, even if we fix this, I'd suggest to _not_ include this fix in MM 2.5.4. Assigning to Petr for a review whether we can fix this and whether the fix won't have any negative side effects. I'd expect that: Ctrl+Left arrow would move focus rectangle one cell left (or right) Ctrl+Down arrow would move focus rectangle one cell down (or up) _without_ any effect on the currently selected track(s). |
