Summary0002063: Improve burn wizard look
DescriptionI don't like look of the burning wizard much (I'm not referring to Ludek's work, but to my original design), seems to be a bit old-fashioned to me. Based on comparison with other applications I'd say that the problem might be in the big header text. So the solution would be to completely remove the header (with the text) and move the text to the caption of the dialog.

I looked at several applications---please see the .pdf file posted at bug 2063-- and agree with Jiri completely.

I suggest the following changes:

1) On all pages, get rid of the large text at the top, and replace it with a heading that is in bold and/or descriptive text that isn’t bold:
a. First Page:
Welcome to the Disc Burning Wizard
This wizard will help you…
b. Second Page:
Disc Content
Choose the format to be used for directories and filenames on the CD/DVD.

Disc Format:
__dropdown_____________^
c.Third Page:
Burn Settings
Click ‘Burn’ to start the recording Process.

2) On all pages change the background of the top section to ?White? (depends on skin)

3) On all pages align the text in the top section with other dialog elements

4) In addition, on the first screen, we can consider adding a left border with some sort of graphic, however, we can defer this until we source a graphic.

Note: this will be clearer if you see this in the .pdf stored on the ftp server.

Rusty, I'm sorry but I have been wasting a lot of time on searching the error which caused AV described by You in 2091 - so this is the only "visual" bug which I have done up to now - very fast to catch the build 905.
Please comment and give me some other texts to the top panel of the burning wizard.
Thx.

btw. Top panel isn't white in non-skinned version yet, it will be in the build 906.

This looks much nicer. Here's the information that you need:

Audio CD:
5)
Disc Burning Wizard - Audio CD tracks list
-->
Confirm Audio CD Tracks
Verify that your CD will include all the desired audio tracks, and re-order them (via drag and drop) if necessary.

(note: the text on the right side is no longer required, and consequently, it might be worthwhile to adjust the layout of this panel slightly so that it doesn't appear lopsided)

6)
Disc Burning Wizard - CD-Text
-->
Edit CD-Text
Enable and edit CD-Text if you wish your Audio CD's contents to be viewable on a device that supports CD-Text.

7)
Disc Burning Wizard - Burn Settings
Click 'Burn' to start the recording process
-->
Burn Settings
Click 'Burn' to start the recording process

Data CD Wizard
8)
Disc Burning Wizard - Data CD/DVD - Add content to disc
-->
Edit Data CD/DVD Content
Add or remove tracks from the disc.

9)
Disc Burning Wizard - Disc Content
-->
Choose Disc Format

10)
Disc Burning Wizard - Erase settings
-->
Erase Disc
Click 'Erase' to remove content from a rewritable disc.
