Summary0020573: Make # column movable or Hidden
DescriptionSome users wants not to have # column listed in playlists views.

We made it non removable in 0020309 due the increasing issues, but for such users that do not want # column obstruct their view we should:
a) make it movable
b) Make it hidden (not visible)

I am fine with '#' to be always visible in Playing/Playlist view

Assigned to Rusty for decision whether we should make the column (re)moveable again

As per previous discussions, the '#' column is needed
1) because otherwise it's unclear that the track order displayed isn't the actual order of tracks in the playlists
2) it explains why tracks can't be dragged/dropped to change order of a static playlist
3) it provides an obvious way to revert the display order to the playlist order--by sorting by the # column (there are alternatives such as using F5 or exiting/re-entering the node, but most users aren't aware of this)

A possible way of allowing the user to disable it for Playlists would be to provide a warning such as:

 "Disabling this is not recommended!"
"It makes it impossible to distinguish between the play order and sort order of Playlists, and makes it difficult to revert sorts"
 [Proceed] [[Cancel]]

Is this even feasible? Note: it would require new strings even though strings are already frozen, so I would probably recommend not implementing for MM 2024.0

Note: this was requested by users for Playlist views (and not for Playing view / Playing Element). I suspect that the same users might want this implemented for Playing view/element, but in that case, the issue is even more severe since the issues always apply (i.e. one can argue that the need for the # column is less critical for Auto-playlists, but it is always important for static playlists and the Playing list/element).
