Summary | 0001295: Hide complex features from the UI
Description | There are a couple of UI elements that should be hidden to a greater degree by default: -Don’t show ‘Virtual CD’ node unless there are tracks in the Virtual CD/Queue -Combine ‘Save to Virtual CD’ and ‘Save to Virtual CD Queue’ into a single ‘Save to Virtual CD...’ entry in the main menu & Send-to menus as follows: remove 'Save to Virtual CD Queue', and when the user clicks 'Save to Virtual CD...', pop up a dialog that says: (o) Save to Virtual CD now ( ) Save to Virtual CD queue [Ok] [Cancel]

I think that the second part of the proposal has a problem in the fact that copying to VCD would require an extra click which could be quite annoying particularly if user tries to cache a number of tracks from many places of the Library. Another way is to add an option to completely disable VCD functionality. Then it wouldn't occupy any space for users that don't need it. Default value of this option could depends on the type of disctribution (e.g. disable VCD for some partners, but enable for our web page). |

Virtual CD queue has already been eliminated. |
