We should add support for Alac encoding (either to MM or to the aac plugin).

Apparently DBpoweramp already has an alac encoder (based on the open source alac decoder??)

Also, ffmpeg may be adding support for alac encoding. See:

(0016504) Ludek (developer) 2009-02-04 05:25	DBpoweramp already has an alac encoder that does not require iTunes, or Quicktime and has the advantage of being faster than Apples encoder! (x50 encoding speed on AMD 64), but unfortunatelly they are not allowed by license to open it, or sub-license. The only way is to control dbpoweramp through COM object scripting.
