Summary0016218: In Devices node allow users to sort Devices
DescriptionCurrently there is some form of sorting for Devices that isn't by device name. It looked like it's by Last Synced, but that isn't entirely true for me.

It would be nice if users can sort by:
1) Device Name
2) Last Synced
3) Connected
4) Last Connected (not available currently)

More details on implementation at 0013697:0046512 and 0013697:0046510

Even if we decide to implement such change I would defer it for 5.1 as more improvements are planned for that node.

It currently shows the devices connected or synced in the last week (per 0013697:0046512) -- until "Show all" is clicked.

The key for sorting is connected devices on the top then sort based on the last synced time and the disabled devices at the end.
This sort key is the most reasonable IMHO, when you have many devices then you should be able to easily find one by typing in the view (contextual search).

The problem is that a single device is split (internal/external) in different locations. And I do have a synced device at the bottom after never synced devices.

In the Media Tree this sorting also occurs.

As clarified offline with lowlander, the particular sync profile (S7 internal) was Disabled, thus shown at the end of list.

Disabled/Enabled corresponds to the 'Show' column in MM4 > Options > Portable Device/Sync
i.e. in MM4 they were invisible and in MM5 are tracked as disabled and shown at the end of the list (as they are no longer in Options)

Verified 2264 by me and user in remote session complaining that connected devices are not recognized (they did, but they were last in list due the fact they were external eSATA HDDs which newer PC handle as Removable internal HDD and disabled by default).

Closing all is working as designed.
