In version 2026 we added Synced Lyrics support ( 0016494 ) for auto-scrolled lyrics/karaoke

So it would make sense to include this addon as default and enhance it to undock also:

2) Preview ( 0020428 )

--> 'Loading...' appears for 10+ seconds before the following appears:

We should allow combined album art to be copied as Image to clipboard and synced to Devices

1.) Allow right click -> Copy Image
2.) Allow Right click -> Show Full Image -> Showing more details of combined images
3.) Allow that combined image to be synced as Playlist image to devices (updated on regeneration)
4.) Make that combined image be accessible on DLNA/UPnP while browsing (like Album images)
5.) Make that combined image be available MM API like https://www.mediamonkey.com/docs/api/classes/Playlist.html and https://www.mediamonkey.com/docs/api/classes/PlaylistEntries.html eg. especially useful while DLNA/UPnP browsing in grid views

0012827: Web version of MM5

A web version of MM5, to be served by MM5 desktop app for the purpose of browsing the internal MM5 UPnP server. It could also later be served by our cloud application/service.

Some of the items that need to be implemented:

1. Clean up MM5 HTML/JS code to work across the modern browsers.

2. Improve distribution of the HTML/JS/CSS, so that there aren't tens of individual files, by preferably only a single merged one (faster loading). Can this be automatic, or somehow manually specified, which files to merge?

2b. Content of some files would better be customized for particular purpose - e.g. actions.js needs to be quite a bit simplified for the web version. How to do this? Conditional compilation? Probably better to e.g. have different main menu entries for web and desktop versions.

3. The player would use the HTML5 player.

4. Tree content would be filled by the UPnP content from the server. Use real UPnP queries, or some optimized for this purpose?

5. Tracklists/Now Playing need their JS implementation.

6. We probably can start by delivering the same skin/layout as configured on the desktop MM5 installation. Later we could make this configurable.

Ctrl+Click should open hyperlink in new tab. It works in Artists view for artist, in Albums view for artist, but not for album in Albums view, when clicking album title with Ctrl.

It is related to font size of skin and text size set in Windows (Make Text Bigger). It seems bigger text leads to larger unwanted offset.
Our controls are positioned absolutely, we should rework it to use inline-flex and its feature of automatic centering to avoid problems with different zoom and sizes. It could affect already existing skins, but the change is needed.

1) Lyrics element currently only displays Synced lyrics. It should either:
a) Be renamed to 'Synced lyrics'
b) Remain named as 'Lyrics' but display Synced lyrics preferentially, and regular Lyrics if they're absent. This can be achieved via a Tab/Link at the top of the lyrics allowing the user to switch between the two. I prefer this approach since the alternative requiress displaying Lyrics in the Preview element and Synced lyrics in the 'Lyrics' element, resulting in duplication. On the other hand, the Preview window is often used to display 'Selected' track's metadata, which isn't supported by the Lyrics window.
Thoughts about which approach is better?

2) Lyrics element title often truncates text.
The Lyrics element appears as 'Lyrics (ArtistName - Title)' which is usually truncated when it's placed in the right or left columns. Considering that the lyrics display the _playing_ lyrics, and the metadata associated with the playing track appears in the player (and likely in the Preview window), there's no need to display it in the titlebar (we could display it at the top of the textbox, but I'm not even sure if that's necessary).

3) There's no ability to edit the lyrics
The most trivial fix would be to display a vertical ellipsis on the left side with a shortcut to Properties that would open Properties {Lyrics]}

4) The Undock button isn't correctly vertically aligned (tracked at 0022113 with other rendering issues)

View headers now always display text summary info, mostly from Wikipedia. We should add checkbox "Show Text Summary" to view header 3dot menu. By default switched on. Switching this off would hide description, header could be reorganized then, to be displayed more space optimized (e.g. title could be next to artwork, not above).
This option should be related to view header type, so user could hide album description, but show artist description, etc.

Based on your log 5NFX261V1H, I can see that the problem is with the song "SelectionChange".

MMA receives a list of converted tracks from the server that are ready, but the subsequent download attempt fails, interrupting the synchronization.

There are two issues:
1) In that case, MMA should skip the track and continue.
2) The track should not be on the ready-to-download list.

It seems, there is de facto standard in APE/MPC tags for saving artworks, some tagging software uses it. As it is not real standard and could cause problems in some players/tagging SW, we should not write these tags always, but we should be able to read and update them. The most used is "Cover Art (front)" (e.g. Tag&Rename SW writes it).
