Summary0008563: Ability to change DLNA renderer name
DescriptionCurrently the DLNA renderer name seems to be fixed at "Mediamonkey Renderer (xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx)" but, just as you can change the MM DLNA server name in "Media Sharing" from the default "MediaMonkey Server", it would be nice to be able to change the renderer name to "Kitchen", "Bedroom" or whatever as this would be far more meaningful.

This can be implemented by adding the following below Allow control of MediaMonkey player via UPnP/DLNA:

Name: _MediaMonkey_Player__

note: both strings already exist

Works fine for me, see attached screenshot.

It was probably just a WMP12 cache issue in your case?

Peke, renderer and server are two different (independent) devices so the screenshot seems to be OK.

Renderer is "MediaMonkey Player"
Servers are "MM Server" and "Test"
on your screenshot.

Ok, it looks that I'm doing it wrong then. How can I change Renderer "MediaMonkey Player" to Renderer "Peke's MediaMonkey"? I haven't found the way to do it.

I missed that. Verified 1600

Rusty, To make things more clear I would suggest to change "Name:" -> "Renderer name:"

Re-resolving. The issue of setting a default renderer name is tracked at 0009706
