Summary0007344: Scanned Video Podcasts don't appear in the library as expected (regression)
DescriptionCurrently, the Podcast Subscriptions node (that appears sub to Podcasts) displays all podcast subscriptions (audio and video).

There are a couple of problems re. the representation of Video Podcasts though:

1) Video podcasts don't appear in the Podcasts node (they appear only in the Video node) despite the fact that they're labelled as podcasts. This is confusing because on the one hand the user sees Video Podcasts in 'subscriptions' but then can't locate the Video podcast elsewhere in the node (e.g. via browsing, search, find more from same).

2) Video Podcasts appear in the Video node, but it's not obvious how to edit the subscription.

The advantage of the current approach is that video podcasts are displayed using the Video view, however, the cost is the downsides described above.

Suggestions?

Rusty, I cannot reproduce.

In my case all podcasts appears exclusively only under Podcast node.
If you go to propetries for the video podcast episode, is the episode classified as Type: [Podcast] or Type: [Video Podcast] ??

Sorry--I didn't describe it very well.

The problem occurs when scanning .m4v files that are tagged as Genre:Podcast (i.e. in relation to 0006482 )

Fixed in build 1349.

It was a regression related to the fact that Genre was read from the tag after the TrackType has been initialized thus the TrackType initialization (0006482) failed.
