| Description | Attempts to manually generate thumbnails, whether manually or during playback fails for .m4v/mp4 files. 1 Navigate to Music Video > All Tracks [List] 2 Select m4v/mp4 tracks 3 Delete artwork from the selected tracks 4 Select TrackA.m4v (or TrackB.mp4) and in the Preview window, 'Save thumbnail' --> nothing happens 5 Play the tracks and select them in the Preview Window, 'Save thumbnail...' > Use Current video frame --> nothing happens | ||||

Works fine for me on MP4 files, so probably sample files will be needed |

Further testing shows that the issue only occurs in my environment when the codec pack isn't installed (despite the fact that the tracks play correctly without the codec pack). Logs sent to Michal. |

This happens when DirectShow codec needed for decoding is not installed and QuickTime is not installed. Playback using MediaFoundation works, but getting thumb not. |
