Summary0015626: Location Node: Sort is incorrect
DescriptionLocation node show Medias out of any order (MediaID)

Expected: To be shown as in MM4 in This order Per Type+Name eg. HDDs -> DATA CD/DVDs -> Audio CDs -> Network (Where I would put Network as first as it contains subtree nodes)

Among of HDDs, CDs, Network there are also YouTube, MediaServers, Cloud services, MMS, URL tracks:

Not sure what is the expected order here (probably from the most local to the most remote ?)

Much better 2173

Will check all subnodes, but it looks fixed. Left resolved for further test and feedback

NOTE: This is happening on imported Libraries, new libraries were sorted differently according to scan.

Reopen Small tweak.

Available Audio CD (inserted one) is always on sort end as once it gets Drive letter ("J:" In my case) it is always below "[" In other nodes it is not that noticeable as they are smaller, but anyway expected behavior would be that available Medias in Location would be first eg.

Available+Ascending Sort -> Non Available+Ascending Sort and I would put Network as First due the fact it contain subnodes and not similar to others.

Much better,
I created smaller test in order to compare MMW and MM5

MMW sort:
1. HDD Accessible -> Non Accessible
2. All DATA CD/DVDs (Inserted didn't changed position)
3. All Audio CDs (Inserted didn't changed position)
4. Network
5. URL

MM5 sort:
1. Local Folder
2. Network
3. HDD No Label -> Accessible -> Non Accessible
4. All Audio CDs + DATA CD/DVDs mixed (Inserted didn't changed position)
5. URL
6. MMS

Expected Sort Behavior:
1. HDD Accessible -> Non Accessible (No Label on end)
2. Local Folder (Expandable if more local folders are added in Services)
3. MMS
4. Network
5. DATA CD/DVDs -> All DATA CD/DVDs (Inserted didn't changed position)
6. Audio CDs -> All Aidio CDs (Inserted didn't changed position)
7. URL

Reason: I used only low number of CD/DVDs (No matter if Audio or Data), users have much larger number of Audio CDs and scrolling thru all is annoying

Possibly we can join all removable Medias (CD/DVDs, flash drives, HDDs) under one root tree node and make it expandable?

VIDEO of Behavior Uploaded to FTP.

Can you please describe the change as it looks like sort order on location didn't changed at all. Same as on video instead of expected behavior from 0015626:0053467

I changed the order of CDs -- to be the last (but URL) as you suggested.
CD - last but URL.png (12,085 bytes)

It sorts OK now. Guess it was issue with persistent.json at time all OK now.
