We have always copied just one file at a time.
e.g. if you right-click a playlist -> Send to -> Device
then the files are copied in order.
In case of auto-sync the files might not have been copied in playlist order, because they can be part of more playlists (or no playlist), but if you let the auto-sync process to finish then all content and playlists are copied.
Can you clarify what the issue is? |

Based on my Car Head unit that is not the case no matter if manual (Send To) is used or Auto-Sync is used.
Maybe using "<Playlist>\" in sync masks should save files in order of playlist? |

..\<Playlist>\<Auto Number> - <Artist> - <Title>
works fine? |

Files are still copied in different order of Auto Number.
as most car stereos read folder in copy order from FAT and do not sort. |

ok, in that case Playlist -> Send to -> device works, because it copies the files in order ? But you indicated that in case of your Car Head unit that is not the case, so I still don't understand what is the case?
Is the the "File created" timestamp or filename used as sort key in your car unit??
Please test it and find the sort key.

They are sorted by creation date I guess, as if you use http://www.anerty.net/software/file/DriveSort/?lang=en (I'll attach EXE just in case) it will show same order.
Strange is that resync put it in correct order, same with Copy To |
