| Description | In course of MM 4.1 we added Options -> Media Sharing (UPnP/DLNA) -> [Install as service...] button for installing background MM service. This way MM is sharing media even if it is not running. It was added for DLNA purposes only, although further stuff that is tied to sharing also works: auto-conversion, WiFi sync, scripting (because of sharing custom nodes). Users are asking to enhance the service futher to include e.g. 1) Folder monitoring 2) Podcast updates We can add them, but I believe it should be configurable, because such a things can have significant impact on system resources / battery life. Also these are not directly related to DLNA so we should probably move the service option elsewhere in MM Options. Probably a separate options tab could be added? | ||||
