| Description | In build 123, I observe the following: In > Artists: [missing art] Aimee Mann/Michael Penn ... 1 track When I click that Artist --> i) Albums shows: [Artwork] Album: I Am Sam, by Sarah McLachlan ... 2 tracks When I click the Album --> 1. Two of Us by Aimee Mann/Michael Penn ... 3:32 2. Blackbird by Sarah McLachlan ... 2:21 i) Tracks shows: [Artwork] Two of Us by Aimee Mann/Michael Penn ... 3:32 HOWEVER, when I observe the same Album by Album Artist=Sarah McLachlan, the Artwork is present. In other words, it seems that for a Various Artists album, the Artwork is shown as missing if the user navigates to that artwork via an Artist on the Album that is not the Album Artist, even though the artwork exists for all tracks no the Album. It makes it look as if Album Art has somehow been deleted for tracks that actually have album art. Moreover, this issue occurs with every single track from any Soundtrack!! Btw, if we think that it makes sense to not show artwork in the Artists node for Artists that aren't the Album Artist, then perhaps MM shouldn't show the missing artwork icon in such cases--but I think that that is also confusing. | ||||

Btw, the suggested solution should technically work reasonably, as tested on PC, the query completed in <0.01sec for a DB with ~10k tracks. That said, I don't think that this is the best way of showing artists (media artists in particular), I hope that we'll replace it by downloaded images of the artists in the future. |

There seems to be a regression--this isn't working in build 165: i.e. in the Artists and Artists & Album Artists views, Artists don't display artwork if Artist |= Album Artist. reported at: http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=73560 |

This isn't fixed in 169. specifically, if Artist|=Album Artist, and Album Art exists, then in Artist & Album Artist view OR Artist view: Artist will not show AA Album Artist will show AA |

Retested in 169 and it seems to be working correctly. I'm not sure if it was a test error, or a fluke, but the issues appears to be resolved. |
