Summary0010200: USB sync is broken in build 77
DescriptionAt first note that build MMA 77 should be tested against MMW build 1611 as there've been some changes re USB sync.

I am testing on actual sources and sync is broken (tested with my Galaxy Nexus)

Just selected a track in MMW, chosen Send to -> Galaxy Nexus
=>
Track is not added in MMA and message pop-ups "Debug logs have been uploaded, thank you"
TagsNo tags attached.
Fixed in build79

The bug is particularly nasty because if a wifi sync is performed after a (failed) USB MTP sync, the operation freezes and then triggers bug 0010158.

Note: the bug occurs when syncing with MMW 1610 OR 1611 (and not with MMA 75)!

Yes, and the bug occurs also in USB MS mode, i.e. it is unrelated to MTP.

Tested 78 and unfortunatelly there is still a problem.

Tracks looks synced, but e.g. rating is not synced and on attempt to play the tracks MMA just skip them with indication that track not found.
i.e. there is a problem with paths probably

In addition on atempt to delete the synced tracks MMA just freezes and phone needs to be rebooted

Note that the reason seems to be that storage prefix is no longer included within StorageInfo.xml therefore MMW writes the paths without the storage prefix.

Workaround is to delete StorageInfo.xml and re-install MMA, then the prefixes are included. After applying this workaround all seems to work fine (including the rating sync).

But existing StorageInfo.xml (e.g. created by MMW) is not updated to include the prefix.

To be fixed by Martin (as discussed over IM)

Further testing shown, that MMA creates the XML correctly, but because of MTP caching issues the file cannot be download neither by using MMW or Windows explorer. The only that helps is Android OS restart.

This is resolved as 0010221 on MMW side, see details there.
