0019800: 'Shuffle all' may not be completely random

There have been numerous complaints in the forums about the fact that shuffling isn't random. Based on the report at https://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=506217#p506217 I tested this out as follows:

1 Navigate to a playlist of 1000 tracks
2 'Tap Shuffle All'
3 Record the list of tracks that appear in the Playing Queue
Repeat 5x

--> The Shuffle All functionality (in this scenario) is definitely not random! After doing this just 5x, I found that on 3 occasions the first 20 tracks contained multiple tracks (2 tracks, and on one occasion 3 tracks!) from the same album or same Artist. Even stranger, the tracks were _consecutive_!!

Is it possible that there's a non-random element to the algorithm?

0021197: Casting: allow switching between speakers

Currently, when casting it's not possible to switch between casting destinations--instead, the user must 'Stop casting' and then activate casting to a different destination. Would it be possible to switch immediately? e.g.

Currently, clicking the Casting button shows:

0019919: Add Random Play to menu when files are selected

Random Play is available when viewing a list of files, but once a user selects files it no longer is an available option. It should remain available.

For consistency, either Random Play or Play Now should be outside the menu, with the other being in it at all times.

0018772: 'Missing codec, skipping track' error during connecting to chromecast

An initialized player can be null, because Chromecast is not ready (connected) yet, but chromecast player is required. in this case, MMA incorrectly notifies it as 'Missing codec, skipping track'.

0019360: Improved Settings UI for deletion from the device

The current UI for deletion shows the various options as a combo-box. While this is space efficient, there are two downsides:
1) The alternative options aren't immediately visible (minor)
2) The only way to see the contextual help of the alternative options is to select the alternative (major, since the labels aren't totally clear without the contextual help).

The UI proposed below improves usability/understandability of this functionality and makes it analogous to the MMW UI.

Delete from the device
Delete other files and playlists . . . . . . . . . . . o--

Note: in the above case, all other options are greyed out. If the option is enabled, then the following appears:

Delete from the device
Delete other files and playlists . . . . . . . . . . . --o
Unselected server files / All unselected files . . . . v
Delete files that are on the / Delete all files that
server but not the sync list / aren't on the sync list

0021622: Playing external files with non-persistable URI permission

MMA gets one-time permission to play media from this uri.
On second launch, MMA skips the song with the "Missing codec" message due to missing permission.

There are only two options to handle this.
1) Implement one-time isolated playback, which does not erase the "Now playing" queue (similar to YouTube Music)
2) Copy the track to the cache and play the copy with full access

0022388: Artwork is saved even when the user may not expect it to be saved

At 0022379 we implemented a temporary solution for cases in which albumart.jpg overwrites existing albumart.jpg in the file's folder is saved right away, however, the solution included a hack that when this occurs, the 'Save' button in the Properties dialog isn't enabled (because the albumart.jpg file has actually already been saved). This isn't the best solution because MMA handles this particular case differently than all other Property edits.

The correct solution is for lookups to be 'temporary' untll the user saves them. (and if we need to prompt the user as to where to save the file, we can do so _after_ they click 'Save').

Since writing to tags will be supported, we need to provide a way to save an image similar to MMW.

In MM5, this function is called the "Add Cover" dialog box, and it appears after the album art has been found and downloaded.
It contains
Image type

-Save image to tag (if possible) otherwise save to file folder
-Save image to file folder
-Save image to tag and to file folder
Image filename
[EditText field]

For MMA purposes, I would first opt for a simplified version containing only the image location and image filename.
Additionally, I would add an autosave feature that, after downloading the album art, would skip the "dialog" and save the artwork directly according to the set preferences.

0020054: Play Shuffled (by Album)

MMA should add album shuffle similar to MMW that randomly selects albums from the current view, with tracks from each album playing in the order in which they appear on the album.

This makes the most sense for views that display/represent full albums:
- Music > Albums
- Classical > Albums
- Podcasts > Albums

But it could also be equally useful in other Albums views even though they may only represent partial albums:
- Music > Artists > Albums
- Music > Genres > Albums
- Music > Years > Albums (this view isn't yet implemented)
- Classical > Composers > Albums
etc.

The simplest approach might be to replace the current Play shuffled FAB with a Play Shuffled (by Album) FAB for Albums views.

0014353: Option to limit metadata download over Wi-Fi only

If user disable save album art to files folders and enable Copy Album Art to tags in device sync profile, then on next sync MM do do not delete existing albumart.jpg (or any JPGs) in file folders making MMA do not show correct Album art for files.

Possibly it should also delete ".thumbs" folder from device too to ensure GMS rescan the files tags and update MMA library entries.

Duplicate tracks are not offered to deleted during sync and can result in Duplicate sync back to MM5 (1 in 10 cases when tracks are offered to be synced back to PC).

In MMW, the delete confirmation dialog lists tracks sorted by Album so it's possible to easily prevent a group of tracks from being deleted.

In MMA though, the tracks in the confirmatoin dialog aren't listed in any particular sort order.

Would it be possible to list tracks in a collection so that they can be more easily selected? e.g. grouped by Album Artist/Album/track ? e.g.

When a Wi-Fi Sync operation fails or fails partially, MMA provides an error message that
"Completed with errors"
and "Failed to download" with a list of tracks.

Unfortunately, this doesn't give the user any useful information about what the problem might be. Is it possible to provide some information for each track (ideally organized by error type) e.g.

Failed to convert:
track1
track6

Inaccessible:
track3
track7

Connection error (Network | USB):
Track2
Track5

With this information, the user can then look in MMW and have an idea of how to approach the issue.

0019597: Bi-Di Sync: Ignore Sync list

If User have some playlists and tracks to sync back to PC, then it is represented on each sync start.

Often user wants to ignore some tracks/playlists that wants to be in MMA library, but not synced back to PC eg. Voice recordings, ringtones, Cam videos, ...

User needs to confirm exclude them from sync on each sync start, there should be way to put them in ignore list (possibly with batch selection per folder/path, album, type, ...) and simply skip them on next sync in order to speed sync time and evade non needed user interaction.

Currently if MMA play video on Full screen Swipe Up/Down or Left/Right or Double Tap MMA do not have any assigned actions. Expected behavior would be:

- Swipe Up/Down -> Volume control shows
- Swipe Left/Right -> FWD/REV 5-10s or show Seek bar only
- Double tap on Left/Right part of screen FWD/REV 5-10s

Tested on Many other apps and they have similar to above expected behavior.

0020152: Wi-Fi Sync generates non-playable entries when conversion errors occur during sync

When MMW generates certain codec errors during a sync operation (see bug 0020139), Wi-Fi sync creates a non-playable entry (e.g. an MP3 file of 32kB).

What should happen is that if a codec error is generated for a particular track then:
- no content should be copied to MMA
- no DB entry should be created

Note:
- This issue may also occur with USB Sync (I haven't tested)
- The issue is probably part of the sync protocol (and may require fixes within both/either MMA/MMW)
- 0020139 has already been fixed, but I think that this is a separate problem since the fact that this occurred would seem to indicate that it might occur in other scenarios as well.
- A fix to this issue should ensure that all such non-playable tracks that were incorrectly 'synced' to the device are replaced

0020115: Genres > Play all order doesn't match the order of Genres > Browse tracks > Play all (also in other views)

This isn't a major issue, but I would think that Play all should play all of the tracks in the same order in which they're listed in the tracklist.

Currently, Genres > Browse tracks > Play all plays tracks in the expected order, but Genres > Play all doesn't.

0020020: Android Auto: Switch Shuffle and Repeat toggle buttons

In 0019804, both ratings buttons were moved to the overflow menu, and the Shuffle button was moved to the Playing menu. I would suggest that as part of this implementation, for both MMA and MMA/AA, the repeat function should be on the left since:
- that's the layout in MMW and in most other players
- it limits the possibility of accidentally enabling shuffle in AA which can cause changes in the track position that aren't easy to revert while driving.
